The Tollan are a highly advanced human race and ally to Earth. The Tollan originated on the planet Tollan but where forced to abandon it when they shared their advanced technolgy with a less primitive race in the neighbouring star system. With this adavnced technology they destroyed their enitre planet causing a planeatry shift to occur on the planet Tollan. The Tollans evacuated their planet and found a new planet and called it Tollana. The Tollans technology gave them the ability to phase shift their bodies and to walk through walls, other technolgies where the Ion cannons which where able to destroy enemy vessels in space. The Tollans where arrogant and unwilling to adapt to change, an arrogance which was their eventual downfall when the System Lord Anubis renederd their Ion Cannons useless with adavnced shields; he oredered them to make weapons for him with their phase shifting technology, if they didn't comply he would destroy there planet. With the intervention of SG1 the weapons where destroyed and Tollana was destroyed form orbit, it is unknown if any Tollans survived.
